Twix is a stunning 13.2 hh liver chestnut mare who turned 13 last month. She has lifetime EA registration , and is a registered Australian Riding Pony, Part Welsh Pony, Saddle Pony and Part Bred Australian Stud Book Pony. She is also registered with the Australasian Animal Registry.
Having been with her current young rider for the last 3 and a half years , Twix has competed in just about everything from hacking/show riding, dressage , show jumping , eventing, Interschools and all things pony club.
Twix is beautifully educated and LOVES to work/train. She is fully handled by her young rider and has been since the day she was brought her home when her rider was aged 10. She LOVES people and thrives on attention. She is sound and vice free with a larger than life personality for you to adore.
Twix has outstanding competition results, a few brief highlights are as follows:
Show ring: Twix has won or placed in countless classes at both hack and Ag shows and has brought home many broad sashes and rugs (including being named Open Pony Champion at Stroud Show in 2021). Twix has carried her young rider to many rider class wins. She is a stunning pony with head turning good looks.
Eventing:
Starting in the EVA 45 at the 2021 Denman ODE ,Twix finished 4th in the juniors -the first Event ever for both Twix and her rider.
All Events were cancelled following Denman 2021 due to Covid, so the pair were not able to get out again until Quirindi CCN ODE in late November , 2021. Twix won the class ,finishing first overall and first in the juniors in torrential rain.
Twix competed at the Warrumbungles in April 2022 again winning the EvA 45 junior class. The winning streak continued the following month at Quirindi, where Twix won first place overall and first in the 45 juniors.
In the EvA 60 class at Denman 2022, Twix led from start to finish winning in a large class of junior riders.
Twix went on to compete at the Denman pony club ODE in D Grade where they placed second, and Tamworth EvA60 where they placed 7th in a massive class of 35 riders . Twix is always sitting at the top of the group after her dressage.
Dressage:
Twix competes regularly in dressage, typically scoring in the mid to high sixties and low seventies in Prelim. She recently competed in her first EA Novice test scoring a very respectable 64.4, placing second at the Upper Hunter Dressage Championships in November 2022. She is confidently training Elementary movements at home.
Pony Club:
Champion E Grade showjumping for Mount Sugarloaf Pony Club in 2021, and Reserve Champion Showjumping for 2021 for the whole of combined Zone 24 and 25.
Highest Hack point score- junior rider for Mount Sugarloaf for 2021. Twix also represented ZONE 25 at the Sydney Royal this year- Twix was an absolute superstar in the huge atmosphere and was not fazed at all by the massive crowds, rides or fireworks.
She also loves the beach, trail rides and even loves to go away camping with her family.
Twix is at her happiest when she is surrounded by people and fun.
This is a seriously classy pony who will give a competitive child years of fun and success. Extremely sad and heartbreaking sale only due to the fact that Twix’s legs have not grown with her young rider.
